for all you saucy pants out there... (i'm looking at you maru) and those who may check this and wonder if i'm still alive.... i tried to update a few months ago and this silly website wouldn't allow it. i am easily discouraged (read: lazy) so i figured i'd wait a while and try again. be a lover, not a hater.
anyways... since i was home in the summer (end of july) not a whole lot interesting has happened. i'll try to fill you in on my life in a few short tidbits.
had a nice trip to bc for some pacific ocean and sushi and boyfriend family time. it was lovely. and i saw the caroline for 24 hours. also a treat.
thanksgiving was super fun... went to a friend's house and had a big dinner with like 22 people. i tried to update after that one. no luck. it's nice when people have lots of family around and they invite you to be a part of it.
for hallowe'en we went as love hearts candies. i made the costumes with my fabulouso sewing skills and good friend angie. we were cute. the party was... well... it was called "crunk on campus" so i'm sure you can guess how it went. my front said "for keeps" and the back said "hot lips".
my building had a fire in it 2 weeks ago. no damage to us but we had to be outside for a while. it was sort of scary, but sort of hilarious because i first went outside in my bathrobe and then ran back in for more clothes.
it's been super cold here for the last few weeks, not usually making it above minus 15. you really have to plan your route if you don't want to stand around and freeze these days.
now for the friendster profile type update.... gross. heheh.
movies.... crash, charlie and the chocolate factory, water, six figures, a big lake, the concrete revolution, revenge of the nerds, strange brew.. all recommended :)
people... saw irene khan (amnesty international), karl-henrik robčrt (the natural step), guy boutilier (ab minister of the environment... from donkin), dave schindler (the man on limno/ecology) all speak in the last little bit. i feel really lucky to be able to hear people's public lectures. this city is a bit of an oasis for progressive ideas in this crazy province.
music... saw broken social scene, cuff the duke and choke. bought new sarah harmer. i've been learning more guitar (the right way beckz heheh) and looking for good songs to play that aren't too hard. maybe i'll bring my geetar home for christmas.
i decorated christmas cookies and drank eggnog today. that was a nice afternoon. i'm really looking forward to a break for some relaxation and catching up with people. if this entry gets deleted i'll be so pissed.
