i tried to post this before i went to kimberley but internets was like... oh no you jus di-int. alors... after watching and re-watching the clip from the simpsons where bart takes the ponytail in the theatre and proceeds to make hilarious but true grad student jokes... i started an rrsp. what the hell is that about? when the man asked who i wanted as my beneficiary i almost dropped the phone. i wanted to say: well, actually, sir, i'm planning to RETIRE. not to die, though i do accept my eventual fate. thanks. if you must know, i calmly and promptly chose my brother. so many things are driving me insane right now that i cannot even begin to describe them, mainly because i want to avoid any employment or family related backlash that would stem from a stumble into this space. ho hum. please note that i could be infinitely more entertaining if this were not public or if i were not so chicken. ah internet. i've been thinking about moving this diary to a better service, one that say... allows me to change more than the colour without purchasing a gold membership. i'm pretty sure my credit card is fine without a monthly charge for web-based venting. i'll take suggestions. warning: snowboarding blab ahead. i've been blessed to spend the past 2 weekends on mountains and will spend this one there as well. this makes my bones jittery with excitement but my hamstring a bit tender. no matter. whistler was awesome. soooo much terrain. louise was very snowy and had lots of scary double blacks. leaving my house to catch a bus to go there at 330am was one of the strangest things i've ever done. spose that means i'm not very exciting? meh. this weekend it's kimberley. last time i was there there was a HUGE powder dump. best riding i've ever had. who knew ns was so flat... and that snow could fall fluffy rather than wet? (please note that this is not an endorsement for this gd province as a whole. i'll take its mountains, but not its book-throwing trash-talking premier.) finally, slightly out-dated, i'd like to give a shout out to whoever was responsible for that bang up production job of the ecmas. bang up like a train wreck. i'll update more often than once every 2 months...maybe :) s
