this whole semester i had a real time with the internet. i used it for all sorts of mundane purposes and time wasting extravaganzas.
one thing i particularly appreciated was that little picture of halifax harbour (in all its.. glory) on the cbc halifax page. for some reason i was always floored to catch it at sunset time. while it was still mid afternoon i realised some sort of relief to see the sun setting on the other side of the country. i'm not quite sure why this conveyed a sense of peace. it's a dirty harbour. in a city i've never even lived in. meh. but the sunsets, they did it for me every time. maybe i should be on a tim horton's commercial.
