took a hike in the river valley today and ended up at "the park". edmonton doesn't really have a "beach" so everyone goes roller blading, dog walking, frisbee playing, book reading, bbqing and most of all: sun tanning! at the park. it's kind of fun to lie on the grass, close your eyes and listen to the seagulls and the laughing, smell the tanning lotion, feel the warm sun, and pretend you're at the beach. the cars swooshing by blaring alan jackson tunes resound like waves if you concentrate real hard. i miss the ocean already.
