i guess i'm not the only one endulging in the simple pleasures of human contact lately. a six person christmas tree decorating party was all i could handle last night. i decided against the 100+ person departmental party for a chance to hang out with my 2 semi-housemates and three others. we were all in the same lonely boat. and conversation took to such fine topics as health care, education, pets, pests, and the state of the city.
one attendee (26) thinks 82nd going downhill because there are so many homeless aboriginals. favourite quote "i mean, why would you sleep in a bus shelter? there are lots of trees in the river valley. it would be just like camping.." oddly i think he truly believes that the main problem with the place lies with the homeless people, not the heart/brainless premier who drunkenly throws a wad money at them on a holiday and tells them to "go get jobs".
